Every once in a while, things just click into place. No drama, no forcing. A few months ago, I was bit by the painting bug and ever since I have spent many of my evenings in my art studio, painting the night away.
With this oil painting series, I wanted to focus on things that I love and things that make me happy. I love vibrant colors, adorable forest animals, and fields of wild flowers. Essentially: Spring!
Working on these smaller canvases was very freeing. It allowed me to just focus on the subject and the feelings I was trying to evoke in each one. The 6x6in gallery wrapped canvases rock. They are affordable, stand up on their own, and make the perfect little desk friend. I am very happy with how this collection turned out, and I am eager to get back into the studio once more.
However, I’m running out of space to put all these paintings. So it is time to put on my small business hat and put these oil paintings up for sale in my online shop so they can find their way to good homes.
A very special thanks to my friends and family who have been extremely supportive during this process. I’ve had several people reach out to me to claim paintings before the shop even launched. It has given me a lot of confidence that maybe one day this artist thing will work out. I cannot thank them enough.
