A women dressed in a gown gazes into the darkness.
When shiny new objects cease to fill the void. When you become addicted to your distractions. When you're caught up in the same old patterns, reaching the same old conclusions. There are 2 options:
1. Continue to repress and numb yourself.
2. Confront the darkness.
This painting came at a time where I was rather sick of myself. There was calling in me that I had been ignoring for years. Putting yourself out there is scary, but not nearly as scary as never making any progress at all. I had a lot of fears I needed to face if I ever wanted to achieve anything.
There comes a point in life where you realize the only thing that is holding you back is yourself. Introspection is a prerequisite to growth and I am determined to change.
