Idealistic and open-minded individuals are prime targets for exploitation, and I've noticed a huge similarity between cults and financial schemes.
On our search for purpose and prosperity, it is all too easy to get taken advantage of by people masquerading as gurus & prophets.
They offer you the key to solve all your problems. Dangling carrots behind paywalls, promising anything and everything, and squeezing as much money as they can out of lost individuals who can rarely afford it.
The red flags are often obscured by desperation.
Awareness is the best protection against abusive patterns. We do not need a savior. We just need a little Guidance.
